HEAVY METAL with THRASH METAL influences, angry vocals, and melodic hooklines. This mixture describes ODIUM from Frankfurt/Main. Founded in 1993, the group has released 12 albums to date, through which the metalheads have continuously developed their style from release to release. The band has been influenced by acts such as Black Sabbath, Motörhead, Metallica, Slayer, Megadeth, Anthrax, Iron Maiden, and many others. Nevertheless, ODIUM have forged their own distinctive style and sound.

Live, ODIUM are extremely active, and from show to show the fan base continues to grow. Those who have experienced the four men and one woman on stage have felt the power and boundless energy of ODIUM.

The lyrics of ODIUM deal with the dark abysses of humanity, which all too often arise from themes such as hate and death. They also address human tragedies, leaving enough space for the listener to develop their own (sick) fantasy world.

In order to consistently deliver an internationally sounding production, the band has worked with renowned producers such as Martin Buchwalter, Andy Classen, and Marc Bugnard.

The magazine Metal Hammer described ODIUM as “one of the best bands in the German underground.”

ODIUM have shared the stage with some of the scene’s finest bands, including Paul Di’Anno, Destruction, Testament, Tankard, Nightwish, Exodus, Obituary, Holy Moses, Rage, Dead Soul Tribe, Axxis, and many others we cannot all mention here. Thank you all for trusting in ODIUM!
